Information for the Long Compton Community Fete on Saturday, 24th June 2023

Long Compton Community Fete was first held in 2022 to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of the late Queen Elizabeth II. The success of the inaugural fete led to the organising crew deciding to repeat the event in 2023, on the last Saturday in June.

There is a baby-changing and feeding tent located in the family fun area. Some of the toilets also have baby-changing facilities.

If a child or a vulnerable person has gone missing on the fete field please report this immediately to a show steward. Similarly, if you find someone who is lost please report to a show steward as soon as possible.

On paying the full-rate admission your carer or attendant will receive free entry to the show upon production of relevant documentation such as:

  • Attendance Allowance or Personal Independent Payment
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Carer’s Allowance
  • Blue Badge registration

Please note that there is only limited disabled parking at the event available on a first-come-first-served basis but there is a dedicated wheelchair space by the Grand Arena.

If you do have a motorised wheelchair or buggy please let the parking attendants know so that they accommodate the space you might need for loading or unloading.

Dogs are permitted on the showground with fixed leads only, i.e. no ‘zip’ or extending leads. No dogs are to be left in cars. There will be dog watering points throughout the fete field and note that dogs are not permitted in some covered areas or tents - please see notices on the fete field.

There are no steps on the showground, It is all on one level and is suitable for all types of wheelchair and buggy. However care should always be taken as the surface may be uneven in some places.

If you have lost any valuables on the fete field please report this as soon as you can to the fete office. Please do not leave any belongings unattended at any time.

If you require any medical assistance please see any steward or come to the fete tent.

You will find food and drink tents and outlets throughout the fete field.

Please use the numerous rubbish bins around the showground and please dispose of your rubbish thoughtfully. All rubbish from Long Compton Community Fete is recycled or aerobically digested by KJ Millard Ltd, who kindly provide the skip. We aim for a zero-waste policy.

Please heed the instructions of any stewards, security officers or police act upon them immediately.

There are plenty of toilets available throughout the fete field and in the village hall.
