LONG COMPTON COMMUNITY FETE 2023

Another year, another successful fete! Although sensibly some people kept themselves and their dogs out of the heat, numbers were only slightly down on last year. Everybody there was treated to music, children’s entertainment, classic cars, an array of food and drink, including cream teas in the village hall and stalls selling all manner of things. Sadly, once again, the RAF cancelled their flight-this year because of engine failure. Big thanks though to the army cadets whose help on the day was invaluable and, of course, to our generous sponsors without whose help the Fete would not take place.

Also appreciation again to K.J Millard for the use of a skip and to Chipping Norton Event Hire for kindly providing the marquee furniture.

The Fete was able to raise over £1,400 and we are making donations to the Village Hall, the Congregational Chapel, the Friends of Long Compton Church, Acorns Primary School, and MacMillan Cancer Support.
